El viento predice el futuro - Awful traffic

I had the opportunity to collaborate with the Mexican post-rock band Awful Traffic, thanks to my friendship with one of its members, Adolfo Álvarez Villeda. During one of our conversations, the idea of producing an animated video for their music came up. Since I enjoy creating personal projects and they were looking for animation, it was the perfect match. We also teamed up with the talented illustrator Daniel Fortiz, whose visual skills provided the foundation to bring the project to life.

The band envisioned a short story:
On a frosty night, in a forest still unknown to most, two travelers searched for a triangular amulet. While resting by a fire, a falling leaf awoke two mysterious women who, with the help of the flames, turned the place into ruins, surrounded by otherworldly beings. The amulet, the only object still brimming with life, drew them closer. But the moment they touched it, everything shifted—they awoke again in the same forest, now reduced to ashes, its lifeless trees still standing. Filled with disappointment and sorrow, they gathered their belongings and continued their search.
